ROBERT GORE

Engineer • Computer Scientist • Physicist

The American engineer and scientist, inventor and businessman who invented a chemical engineer whose lab experiments with a groundbreaking polymer led to the invention of Gore-Tex, a waterproof and breathable fabric membrane. We had the honor of working with W. L. Gore & Associates to share their technology in the field of Science.

Excerpt from my work with Robert Gore, W.L. Gore Associates and the Science History Institute.

Gore-Tex

Gore-Tex was co-invented by William L. Gore and Gore's son, Robert W. Gore. It can repel liquid and allows water vapor to pass through. It’s a breathable, waterproof, and versatile material used in various applications, including ski jackets and medical implants.
