Chad Mirkin, the world-renowned chemist and nanotechnology researcher, is best known for developing nanoparticle-based detection schemes, the invention of Dip-Pen Nanolithography, and contributions to supramolecular chemistry. It was an honor working with the celebrated nanoscientist and creating a documentary for his astounding story and technology.
Dip-Pen Nanolithography
Dip-Pen Nanolithography was invented by Chad Mirkin. It’s a scanning probe nanopatterning technique. The atomic-scale tip delivers chemical or biological reagents, termed 'inks', directly to nanoscopic regions of a target substrate. It’s a powerful tool for depositing soft and hard materials, in the form of stable and functional architectures, on various surfaces.
